The Readerware downloads on this page are primarily for older versions of Mac OS X, 10.6-10.7 on Intel Macs.
Beginning with Readerware 3.51, Readerware will no longer run on PowerPC machines and requires Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) or better.
If you are running these Readerware OS X legacy builds on Mac OS X 10.7 or above, you will also need to install Apple Java. Please see our knowledge base for help with the installation.
When upgrading to Readerware 3, do not drag your current Readerware 2 applications to the trash can. The new version will install alongside Readerware 2. Once you have your databases converted and everything running in Readerware 3, you can optionally remove Readerware 2.
Readerware is distributed as a drive image. Mount the drive and drag the Readerware applications to your Applications folder. Instructions are included in the distribution.
