What's Next?
Following the release of ReaderwareVW, everyone is asking the same question,
When are you going to support CD's. The answer is real soon now. ReaderwareAW
is currently under development, so watch for the next issue of the Readerware
Newsletter for more information.
The feedback on ReaderwareVW has been very good and lots of you seem to have made
a start on cataloging your video tapes, LaserDiscs and DVD's.
What's New?
Those of you using ReaderwareVW to catalog LaserDiscs may have noticed that
although Borders lists most LaserDiscs, they don't have images.
Readerware supports searching other sites to add images, but Borders is the
only site with LaserDisc information.
So, you can easily use ReaderwareVW auto-catalog to add LaserDiscs to your database, but
where can you get the images. A new feature added to both Readerware and
ReaderwareVW can help you add images to existing database entries. Display
a book or video in the detail view. Use the Readerware browser to find
a suitable image. You can search for the same title in another format,
DVD for example. Then right click on the browser window and select "Import image on this page"
from the popup
menu. Readerware will then extract the image from the page and add it to the
database.
Mac users should hold down the Control key while clicking to display the popup menu.
