Do you offer a 30 day money back guarantee?
Yes. If you are not satisfied with your Readerware purchase you can
return it within 30 days for a full refund.
But remember, Readerware is also available for a free 30 day evaluation. The evaluation
version is fully functional and you can try it out free on your machine
for 30 days. Get comfortable with all the features of Readerware
before you buy.
What is the upgrade policy?
All upgrades within a major release are
free. If you license Readerware 2.x, you can always download the latest 2.x
release free from the web site. The latest release
is also available on CD for a small shipping and handling charge.
There is a charge for upgrading between major releases. So if you license Readerware
2.x, there will be a charge for upgrading to Readerware 3.0. There is a grace
period. If you purchase within six months of the new major release, the
upgrade will be free. Once you upgrade to Readerware 3.0, all 3.x releases will
be free and so on.
What happens after I place an order?
Once you complete your order a page is displayed in your browser with full
information on the process. The same information will be sent to the e-mail
address you supplied when ordering. It is very important
that you provide a valid e-mail address when placing your order.
All orders are processed for Readerware by Plimus, Inc. You will receive a
confirmation e-mail from Plimus as soon as they have processed your order.
If you order by credit card the charge will appear on your credit card statement as:
"PLIMUS.COM ONLINE STORE".
Once Plimus have processed the order it will be sent to Readerware for
fulfillment. You will receive a registration e-mail from Readerware Corporation
within 24 hours, normally a lot sooner. The e-mail will contain full instructions
on how to register the product. You don't have to download or install any
additional software, you can enter your registration code into the evaluation
version you are already running.
If you ordered a CD or free CueCat barcode reader your order will be shipped by the
next business day at the latest. All orders are shipped first class mail or
international airmail from Clearlake Oaks, CA. Even if you order on CD, you will still receive a
registration e-mail so that you can register your product immediately.
How will my order be shipped?
All US orders are shipped USPS first
class mail, all other countries are shipped via Airmail.
I haven't received my registration e-mail, what should I do?
Check any spam filters that you have installed, it is possible that
your registration e-mail was snagged by an errant spam filter.
If you are using a spam challenge system, check to see if your registration
e-mail is waiting for confirmation. I do try and respond to spam
challenges but it can delay the registration e-mail.
Make sure you supplied a valid e-mail address when submitting your
order.
If you have not received your Readerware registration e-mail within
24 hours, please contact
support@readerware.com
for assistance.
How can I get a receipt for my purchase?
Once your order has been processed, Plimus will send you a receipt for your purchase via
e-mail. You can always request a new receipt by looking up your order in the Plimus
store at http://www.plimus.com/find_order.jsp.
How can I order Readerware for a specific platform?
When you license Readerware, you can run it on the platform of your choice.
The CD contains all versions of Readerware. The registration key is cross
platform. So when you place an order for Readerware software, you are not
asked what operating system you are running. You can run Readerware on Windows, Mac OS X
Linux, whatever. It is your choice.
This also means that if you ever switch from say Windows to a Mac, you can
take Readerware with you. There are no additional charges when you switch
operating systems.
What happens to the data I entered during my evaluation?
Nothing. All your data is still there. When you purchase Readerware
you will receive a registration e-mail from Readerware Corporation
within 24 hours, normally a lot sooner. The e-mail will contain full instructions
on how to register the product. You don't have to download or install any
additional software, you can enter your registration code into the evaluation
version you are already running. All your data is still there.
If you ordered a CD you may want to install the latest version from the CD.
Just install over your current installation. Readerware will be updated, but your
database is not touched.
Can I install Readerware on multiple machines?
Yes. As the only user, you can install Readerware on multiple machines
with a single license. For example, many users these days have a desktop PC and a laptop.
You can install Readerware on both with a single license.
As Readerware is a cross platform application, that means you can also install
Readerware on machines running different operating systems. For example if your desktop
is a Windows PC and your laptop a Mac, you can still install Readerware on both
with a single license.
You must be the only user when installing Readerware on multiple machines.
For example you could install Readerware on your office PC and your home PC as long as
you are the only user. But
if while you are using Readerware on your home PC, a coworker is using
Readerware on your office PC, multiple licenses are required.
Will you automatically notify me when Readerware updates are available?
No. To be notified when new updates are available,
please check out the Readerware Newsletter. You can sign up
for a free newsletter subscription. It will keep you
informed about new Readerware releases and products as well
as providing useful product tips.
Your privacy is very important, you are not automatically signed up for
anything. You must opt in and subscribe to the newsletter. Readerware
never gives out any information about our customers to anybody.
