Readerware 1.973 is now available.
This release includes:
- TAB delimited import files with empty fields were rejected. Fixed
- Source field was not imported. Fixed
- CSV import files with empty Category/Condition/Rating was setting field to null. Fixed
There are also some fixes for web site data extraction problems. These extraction fixes
are automatically applied if you are using Readerware 1.83 or higher.

- Fixed problem that caused some existing images to be lost when adding images manually.
- When you copy a book, the image is now copied.
- Fixed a problem printing the Readerware shopping cart.

Readerware 1.96 is now available.
This release includes:
- Fixed web site and URL problems at Alibris and Borders.
There are also some fixes for web site data extraction problems. These extraction fixes
are automatically applied if you are using Readerware 1.83 or higher.

Readerware 1.92 is now available.
This release includes:
- Added new search site.
- Added new option to accept an invalid ISBN without displaying the normal
confirmation dialog. This can be useful if you want to create your own "ISBN"
for books without them.
Added new entries to the Readerware FAQ.

Readerware 1.91 is now available.
This maintenance release includes:
- Fixed a problem switching between search modes in the Readerware browser.
- Fixed a problem with the basic table report writer template.

Readerware 1.90 is now available.
This maintenance release includes:
- Handle expired sessions at The Library of Congress.
- Strip bar code type from Readerware auto-catalog list to support Symbol Technologies CS 2000 Consumer Memory Scanner.

Readerware 1.89 is now available.
This maintenance release includes:
- Scanning a bar code into the data entry screen ISBN field now works.
- Non-English ISBN's are now formatted.
- Fixed HTML translation problem, some HTML escape sequences for accented
characters were not being translated.
- Added Bookpool to list of searchable sites.
There are also some fixes for web site data extraction problems. These extraction fixes
are automatically applied if you are using Readerware 1.83 or higher.

Readerware 1.88 is now available.
This maintenance release includes:
- Fixed Loan Tracker problem when loaning out a newly entered book.
- Fixed problem with mapping manufacturer to publisher codes, the mapping
would sometimes fail.
- Added much needed help button to mapping dialog explaining the process
and why mapping is needed.
- Readerware auto-catalog lists can now contain bar code scans. Just create
a text file with one bar code per line. You can use this feature to scan
books outside of Readerware, Scans can come from portable bar code readers etc.

Readerware 1.87 is now available.
This maintenance release fixes:
- One more tweak to bar code reader support, a few bar codes were not handled correctly.

Readerware 1.86 is now available.
This maintenance release fixes a couple of problems:
- Fixes problems with the a bar code reader switching focus to the menu bar.
- Fixes a problem with incorrect images following an auto-catalog run.

Readerware 1.85 is now available.
This maintenance release fixes a couple of problems:
- Fixes a hang when using the unlimited results display option.
- Forward/Backward Keyboard alternatives are now correctly enabled on the detail screen
- Categories now display correctly, sometimes an incorrect category was displayed in the detail screen
- Fixes a conflict with NetZip that caused a Readerware install/startup failure when NetZip was active.

Readerware 1.84 is now available.
This release includes a number of enhancements and bug fixes:
- 128 bit encryption is now included in the standard download. No longer necessary
to request domestic encryption upgrade.
- Latest Sun security library included.
- Added authentication support for accessing password protected sites and proxy servers
- Improvements in bar code reader support.
- Uninstall now working correctly
- Table column headings now display correctly with Windows and Motif look and feel
- ESC keyboard shortcut now supported on dialogs, ESC = Cancel
- Results table is now refreshed correctly when books are updated.
- Palm shopping cart selection now works correctly.
- Auto-Catalog log now includes index of not found ISBNs so that it is easier to determine which books
were not cataloged.

Readerware 1.83 is now available.
Readerware 1.83 includes a new automatic update feature.
This new version handles recent changes to Amazon and from now on
these kind of changes will be handled automatically, no more downloads!
There are a number of other bugs fixed, primarily import and extraction problems,
and support for Amazon.fr has been added.

Readerware 1.82 is now available.
Readerware 1.82 adds support for the CueCat® bar code reader.
Installation of the reader is a snap, power down your machine, unplug your keyboard
plug in the bar code reader and plug your keyboard into the bar code reader. Power
up your machine, upgrade to Readerware 1.82 and scan away! There is no need to install the
software that comes with the bar code reader when using Readerware.

Readerware Message Forums now open!
The new Readerware Message Forums are now open, you can read and post messages
to the forums, exchange ideas with other Readerware users etc. etc.

Readerware 1.81 is now available.
Amazon have updated their web sites, this upgrade works with the new Amazon format.
A problem retrieving images from the Barnes and Noble site was also fixed.

devices.
Readerware for Palm Handhelds is a new add on to the desktop version of Readerware. Now

Readerware 1.51 is now available.
The 1.50 build was missing a file. This only effected first time users,
users upgrading from an earlier version of Readerware were not effected.
If you have installed Readerware 1.50 and
are getting a file not found error when launching the program, please
download the 1.51 upgrade and the problem will be resolved. I apologize
for this error.
- May 22nd, 2000 -
Readerware 1.50 is now available.
Readerware 1.50 is the new base release.
As the new base release you must download the full install as
it includes both updates to Readerware and Java. Future releases
will be available as a full install and as upgrades to 1.50.
This new release includes major performance improvements and a number of fixes.
A lot of work has gone into addressing screen painting problems that
effected some Windows 95/98 users. Data extraction has been improved.
This is a free upgrade for all registered users. Thank you for your
support.
