Welcome to Readerware Release 2.983 =================================== Windows 95/98/NT/2000/ME/XP =========================== Installation - Readerware for Windows is distributed as a self installing executable file. To install simply run the file you downloaded, rwarew32.exe, and follow the instructions displayed. Uninstall - In the unlikely event that you want to uninstall Readerware, click on the uninstall icon added to the start menu. Mac OS X ======== Installation - Readerware for Mac OS X uses the Apple Installer and is distributed as a stuffit archive. To install double click on the file you downloaded. This will create the Apple installer file. Double click on the installer package and follow the instructions displayed. Uninstall - In the unlikely event that you want to uninstall Readerware, simple drag the Readerware icon to the trash can. Linux/Unix ========== Installation - Readerware for Linux is distributed as a compressed archive. To install simply decompress the file you downloaded, rware.tar.gz: gunzip rware.tar.gz tar -xvf rware.tar This will create a readerware directory in the current directory. Uninstall - In the unlikely event that you want to uninstall Readerware, simply delete the installation directory. Other Platforms =============== In theory Readerware will run on any platform that provides a Java 2 VM. Current Java 2 capable platforms are: Windows (Win95/98/NT/2000/ME) Mac OS X Solaris Linux If you have a Java 2 VM running on another platform, you should try the Linux/Unix no frills distribution.
